Hobie 21se '88 model. Calvert Sq top with 300sq ft EP spinn and Aquilla mid pole snuffer. Did the GT 300 on her and had to beg for a rule change that year (04) to let a boat with wings in. Came in last place due to getting lost the first day. I came in about 4 hours late with a GPS that was formatted wrong! Got it together the next 3 days and missed getting out of flast place by 15 minn. Still one of the best times on the water for me. LaMans starts are a bitch with a 700lb boat! Actually did the last two starts on the beach wheels.

Here is my next boat, in its separate pieces. A lump of strips, a mould and other diverse parts like a mast, boom etc. etc. Old boat is sold and the only way is forward. End result will hopefully qualify as a Blade F-16. Will be rigged mainly for singlehanding and equipped with mostly homemade sails.

My 1981 Nacra 5.2, I sail out of Norman, Oklahoma. I have added an INter17 Spinnaker, and soon will be ordering a squaretop mainsail built for prebend I am putting in the mast using the swept spreaders. The picture is from Wayward Winds, the day before there had been an incident and we had broken two battens and didn't realize until we were on the water racing. Still managed to scrape a 6th out overall.

Who made your sail? From that angle, it looks a little more like the Taipan sail in the distance than either my Ullman or the more recent Glaser F16 mains. Just curious.

F16 VWM Blade 705 at Kool Kats, Lake Kegonsa, WI in October 07. Ullman sails. Apart from my first outing I have always sailed solo. For reasons that the CRAW guys will readily understand, I'm saying nothing about race results! I've had the boat since August '05, but really only started sailing it regularly in '07. One of the first built and plenty of teething problems with both boat and skipper. But it's a cool boat and I'm sold on F16.
