If we keep this up then we'll equal the number of participating boats of the Nacra 17 nationals (we already have more sailors attending because of the 2-up crews). Wouldn't that be nice. But we'll need 3 more boats for that and that is probably just too much with several crews also having went to Performance Mmidwinters last weekend and going to Springfever next weekend. There is only so much travelling one can do !

And we will be missing Terry Back, who is a regular, due to a family engagement. So I think there is quite a good F16 fleet begining to reach "critical mass", at least down here in Florida.

From the other thread on this forum the same thing is happening in Australia. And with the second Global Challenge in the UK this year is appears to me that the F16 class is truly powering up.

Steadly but secure growth everybody, that did the trick !

If we keep at it then there is no reason why we can't be great in a few years time.

Not sure if this is generally known. Stefan bought his Taipan so that he and his wife, Lissa, could sail together. Many things have reduced their sailing time; work, children, and weather. But, Stefan told me earlier in the week that he hopes to sail with Lissa this weekend. Of course, with children and a business there are always big IFs. Still, I think it would be very cool to see them on the water at this years Invitational. It would also add another boat to the fleet.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 80. Windy, with a south southwest wind 7 to 10 mph increasing to between 22 and 25 mph. Winds could gust as high as 36 mph. At least the water will be warm! <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />

Yep winds start to pick up tomorrow afternoon from the west, then shift to the south windy conditions. Water temps around 65 degrees Fahrenheit. Air temps mid to low 80s around 82.
