Mary, I have sailed on of these at over 20 knots on an even keel, quiet, not having to trim sheet much and when the gusts came it just went faster..no healing, no pitching, just like on a speed boat. A safe accelerating feeling. No bow wave at all. the spray starting two feet from the back of the boat. I will get photos of it in action.
Also, my Paper Tiger, its baby brother, planed easily up wind and down.
The PT had to be trimmed with traveler out and sail flat. The photo shows me forward on tramp, inboard and un-pressured, achieving good speed in less than fifteen knot winds. The boat is even keeled and with a little more wind I could at this point move back to keep the nose up windward side down and start planing.

Regarding planing and speed and second time out.
I sailed again in 5/15 knot winds. The jib is now setting well enough.
The boat plained easily up wind with the bows out and the spray starting well aft of main beam. In my Nacra the spray would be climbing the leading edge of my bow and fanning in an arc the full length of the boat.
On a med reach she planed effortlessly and was extremely predictable and controllable while hiking, not trapping.
Spray on reach often starting well rear of main beam.
At the same speed in the same conditions my Nacra 14sq would be starting to nose down and I would be working hard, looking at nose and ready for pitching in surges. The Tiger Shark was never pushed to pitch and was seeminly much faster than the Nacra.

I now believe the Tiger Shark never had enough buoyancy for a high rig twin trap boat. It is sailing very well as a single hander and I will now set the trapeze up for up wind.

I ran into an Olympic sailor and designer out in the Bay a few weeks ago and I had sent him the image of my rig.
His name is Murray Ross and the boat in the picture is his all carbon design Isis.
It turned out he was out there yesterday and watching me through glasses. He rang to say the boat was going very fast and looking good.
I am going out on Isis for a blast with him to shoot the breeze about cat design and will get more details about how the boat was riding.
