What's This --> |=| |=| |=| |=| |=| |=| |=| |=| |=| |=| |=|

It's 11 (count 'em) 11 Nacra 20's ready to raise hell on the Chesapeake . ..

Courtesy of Spinal Tap: “It’s very, very special. Because if you can see, the numbers all go to eleven. . . Well that one louder now isn’t it.”

That’s right we are one louder. Last year we were eight boats, now we are eleven. As of this past weekend a new member purchased his new-to-him ship and we are now eleven Nacra 20s preparing for spring. Thats right the dial goes to eleven.

“Most blokes are going to be playing at 10. . . All the way up. . . Where can you go from there? Where? No where. Exactly! . . . These go to Eleven.”

We might be a dirty dozen by Oxford!

11! 11! 11! 11! 11! 11! 11! 11! 11!

Thats awesome. When are the northern and southern N20 fleets finally going to mix it up? <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

seems ro me SF wouldbe the perfect venue for that to happen. What, exactly is the dividing line between the north and south fleets. Mason Dixon line???

phew . . . so I'm still a Yankee. I was afraid my family would dis-own me once I moved from NY to below the Mason Dixon.

I guess this means I can take the shotgun rack off the back of my Mystere.

Chris and the WRSC Nacra's . . . that's awesome. A couple more and you'll be a full fledged gang. I guess that makes Chris an "O.G." If you need some heavy crew to take on the "south", let me know.

P.S. I hope no one was offended by my shot gun rack comment. I reckoned it was a better reference then some stupid joke about my squirrel skin jacket.

Game on! Perhaps I'll just leave that shot gun rack right where it is.

Boatless and happy.

I grew up in Maryland, and I have to say that there is a much higher shotgun-per-capita ratio in MD than there is in any southern state I've lived in.

But if you have a design for a gun rack for the back of a cat, I'm sure it would sell very well in both markets :P

Nah, we're border trash. Neither North or South, or maybe both.

Here's hoping that you rub off some of that fastness on my boat Jake :P

Nope - the line goes along the Southern border of PA, between WVA on the Western end and MD along the rest. It then sections of a chunk of the Eastern shore.

Mike - if my family in New England are to be believed, we are considered by folks up there to be in the Deep South, our "accents" barely decipherable to them (funny considering what the various dialects from Rhode Island alone can sound like - Nasal Cranston Whine anybody?). From my travels in the South, we are considered Yankees (just about the worst thing a Southerner can all anybody), with little distinction between MD and points north. Poor us...

So, we can go to Spring Fever, and just like some Marylanders before us, join up with the side that looks like it's winning! Can't lose...

Here's some interesting light reading - National Geographic Article

Isnt anybody living north of Atlanta suspect? That was IT as far as my grandad was concerned. And don't think I didn't notice how quick you segwayed off of the "are you going" subject. Heck, if one of you will go I'll loan you my bearing buddies and put air in your tires. Ed

It must not be the NC/VA border, cause I haven't seen you guys at the Sail the Bay Regatta in Virgina Beach. You need to make it to Spring Fever and VA Beach May 16-18th. It's just down the Chesapeake from you so there is no excuse... and it would be a good midway point to clash with the NC/SC N20 fleet.

Thats a great situation Chris, I'm envious. I think Club racing is what really promotes a class. What do you attribute the growth at WRCRA to, is there a particular socioeconomic trend in your area favourable to cats?
