hey, why are you guys on the forum today?
I am at work... and your excuse for not sailing?
(I will forgive the people who have realized this week that their boats are too lightweight and are pondering how to add a couple hundred pounds to make the new weight minimum)

I dont have a complete boat and it is too cold to bring the little one out anyway. I have a nice pile of parts though. Spent most of the day entertaining the little one by going to a gymnastics competition and the climbing hall.
Simon, how can you keep down to 78Kgs and dropping on that diet??

Getting over a bug and a sore shoulder. Also, I have bar-b-que duty in an hour or so.

I've been reading about this: http://www.watertribe.com/EvergladesChallenge/EvergladesChallengeOverview.aspx

I did an abbreviated version on my own a few years back. Sailed from Ft. Myers right up to the dock at the "Conch on Inn" and then back home. It was a lot of fun. I was sailing the Tiki and had a motor so it was much easier.

I have an idea Rolf. Why don't you fly over next year and we'll do the Everglades Challenge on my Tiki. If you can get yourself to Ft. Myers or Tampa, I'll pick up the rest of the tab.

If they won't let us in officially, we'll tag along anyway.

Here in the UK it was called " Mothers Day " brownie points have to be earned to allow more sailing in the Summer.

Walk 2 miles a day (total) to and from the station to travel into London.

20mins on a step machine 3 times a week (on average).

Will be getting back to cycling now the sun is setting later, hopefully about 30-40 miles a week

Sail most Sundays, 2 races around 60-80 mins each.

Decided against the Ice cream as I'm off to a formal do next weekend and need to ensure my DJ still fits.

PTP, I'd love to go to the Mid Winters but I bid off for the F-16 Gulfport race instead, closer, more F-16's, cheaper, etc.

In order to get that weekend off, I had to work both weekends before and after that one, so I will be in Bombay while you are racing up there, good luck, I hope the wind is good, like it was for me today out on the Prindle! 20+ gusts! yeehah!

And all you northern F-16 guys need to come to Florida for the winters, we have jobs here and we desparately need more cat sailors! We can have you racing nearly every weekend, all winter.

And real Estate is in the dumpster right now, we should all chip in and buy a F-16 condo, where everyone could stay for the winter. We could get one over on Cocoa Beach, not too far from the Blade factory, plenty of boats and parts, we can keep Matt busy! Come on over, the Euro is worth 150% of the dollar now! Hurry!

The wife left me alone with my 2 boys for a girl’s weekend at the beach. We lake fished yesterday and snow boarded today in 60 degree weather. The snow was plentiful and the conditions were perfect. We should have sailed yesterday but I do not have wet suits for them. They do love to sail out on the trap.

Thats no excuse. Took the day off work to go for a quick sail this morning. Nice 10-12 knots flying a hull, thinking to myself I wish this was my job.

Since Jon Casey is the reigning Alter Cup Champ and new professional Tiger driver, perhaps we should ask him to start a regular thread.

Sort of a fantasy camp and tutorial roled into one.
