1- Kurt Korte (who came in blazing on Saturday) 2- Wick Smith 3- Trey Brown 4- Jake Kohl 5- some goofball 6- another goofball
I didn't even realize Kurt was on the course on Saturday...in the first Sat race, we were so focused on racing the other I20s that we had been racing the day before, we didn't realize Kurt was even out there. We saw him far ahead while we were making the last A mark rounding in the first race while holding a very narrow lead over the rest of the 20's. After finishing, I couldn't believe they had sailed both laps!
I should finish out the details on these as I did a dis-service to the crews on those boats. It really was a spectacular weekend - and the racing was good too.
1- Kurt Korte / JJ Johnson 2- Wick Smith / Wick Smith 3- (Lunch) Trey Brown / Alan Stewart 4- Jake Kohl / Karl Langfeld (yes, I'm probably still spelling it wrong) 5- Phillip Mumm / Todd Hart (CAUTION: Pro Sailor) 6- Chris Zander / Wendy Zander 7- Tad Pecorak/ Baily

Jake,Tad,+... Any luck with the video? Jake, I did notice how nice the "Blue Boat" looked. Love the chute. I liked the Layline boat's grahics, and the Zhik boat's too!

I could have probably fit all of my time on the water on one film session, but sadly I was too busy trying to get everything right with the boat to fiddle with the camera unfortunately.

I have a hard time keeping up with these sometimes...but didn't the I20/F18's do three races on Friday? I thought Karl and I had a 3, 1, 2; Wick have a 1, 2, 3; and Trey have a 2, 3, 1 on Friday leaving us in a three way tie for first. However, I see us with a 2,2.
On Saturday I know we had a 2 followed by a 4 because that 2 was the first race on Saturday where Kurt and JJ showed up out of nowhere to win it after we thought we had it in the bag! <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I am pretty sure we only did 2 on Friday, we had a couple of 2's, Trey a 1 and a 3, Wick a 3 and a 1. It's all a blur, but I'm pretty sure that's how it shook out.

Jake and Tad, I'm sorry the video didn't work out, but mostly glad you guys got out there and had such a good weekend! Tad were you on Undecided? If so, big kudos to Jake! Glad to see Dave and Cary were out on the A's. Seemed like Cary might not make it for awhile there. Maybe they'll chime in with some reports on their new boats...Trey is doing great, but he needs some Kohl boat graphics to brighten up his boat.
My crew couldn't make it up to Hartwell until early Saturday morning, so I went out on Friday with a local F18 sailor on his tiger.
Saturday we got on Undecided. There was a backup at the ramp and we missed the first start so we decided to just hop in at the end of the race and go around the cans none-the-less just to get a shakedown out of the way. It was the first time the boat had been on the water since Tradewinds.
Second tack of the second upwind leg, I crank in the mainsheet and pow. Harken Rain and the traveller car had separated from the rail. Lashed it down and headed back in. With the price of masts these days, and the fact that I had brand new sails on the stick, I didn't want to risk any more of my money sailing in moderate to heavy breeze. (For those of you keeping track, thats a bit of #7 with some #13 thrown in there I think) So we headed in and start scouring for a new traveller car. EVERYONE was on the water. I wasn't huge on digging around peoples' gear boxes while they weren't around so we de-rigged, did some other work to the boat. JC sold me his spare traveller car at a very decent rate when he got off the water. The next morning we stuck it on and went sailing Sunday.
As for the repair,
The boat was airtight in that hull before the accident, and now it hisses when we pull out the plug. Now if I can just get him to find and fix the leak in the starboard hull that'd be great :P

You could run it into the back of another power boat, just make sure it's the right side :-)
