Posts: 502 Port Noarlunga, SA, Australia | Thanks for the extra dates Darryn. How do you race against trailer sailers, are they the course markers <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />. In light wind some of them are quick, especially downwind, Masrm's, Young Rockets etc. Plus some of the crews were cat sailors and won Nationals back when sailing was a much bigger sport so the post race discussions can provide some very useful info. The yardsticks dont work to well comparing cats and TS's so the results are more dependent on wind strength then sailing skill but its not about the results, everyone who sails wins. Posts: 142 3 weeks Newman WA 1 week Robe ... | well done darryn, just got home from another shift away and always keen to read up on who is sailing and where. i have won the rum race before also but on a uni-maran. yes, i have come over from the dark side. i hear they are building the weir at wellington and then opening up the entire lower lakes to salt water. which will be great for sailing, but not good for pastoralists who rely on the lake water. however it is all gone though. i will be sailing at either milang or murray bridge from now on as we have bought 75 acres at langhorne creek. however if there is no water anywhere i may have to make the long haul to christies still.

I have never sailed at Murray Bridge, what sort of cats sail there? Darryn | | |
