Hi Gary, too bad you won't be attending the GC in Wales.

Gill and I were really looking forward seeing you sail in real life after we saw all those cool pictures of you!!!

Any chance you're still going to make it?

Hi Kathleen,

sorry to say no chance, just to expensive. Would have had to forgo all family holidays and all house upgrades for at least a year to be able to make it. Decided family and "Browny Points" more important. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" /> Also felt the series was very short to travel all that way.

Maybe we will meet another time? I must say meeting many of the Forum members was a major reason to go. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

As for cool photo's you can do anything with Photo Shop as is being shown in this thread <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I know Formula Catamarans Australia are trying to source as many of their components locally, so i guess the local beer is the obvious option!

I am afraid I can sail a boat made by Crow Eaters but I draw the line at Crow Eaters Beer. I would have to source my beer from overseas <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> Tassie that is <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> Boag's Classic Blonde is my drop of choice at the moment. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

There was a New South Welshman, a Victorian and a Queenslander sitting in a pub.

The barman askes the New South Welshman what he would like to drink. His reply was "I will have a Toohey's Blue, the sponsor of the mighty ****." The barman gets the man a Toohey's.

The barman then askes the Victorian what he would like to drink. His reply was "I will have a Carlton Draft, Victoria's finest." The barman gets the man a Carlton.

The barman finaly askes the Queenslander what he would like to drink. His reply was "I will have a water thanks mate."

The barman is taken back by this and asks him why he does not want a XXXX.

"Well" saild the Queenslander "If these boys are not going to drink beer, then neither am I"

Go the Cane Toads

I was in Germany once, hanging out in a local bar. There were maybe five or six Aussies there, I thought hey what a fun crowd im going to hang out with them and try to keep up with the drinking. LOL

Lesson hard learned, something I will never ever do again

Gary,
I just got off the phone with Greg Goodall (coincidentally).
He was saying he is taking the viper to the Sauna Sail but because of uni exams he wont have a crew.
So, he is sailing solo <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> you announce the sloop rigged Blade and as a result miss the opportunity to race Greg one up!
That must be frustrating!

You must be joking <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />. I was told that Chris Boag was intending to sail the Viper and Greg was going to take the Capricorn, of course that was some time ago, haven't spoken recently. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
