I got the same advice as you got from the swedes just after they were in Athens 2004. For Frode and me, we were just faster with a tight luff. Perhaps we were not good/fast enough to get the best out of the spi with the suggested settings. Funny how those 5-10 cm seems to make a whole lot of difference, especially on the internet.
