Add another Beachcat to the list. Mark Murray is bringing down an HT 18 and I will be crewing for him. Anyone else got an HT? Lets get some solid numbers on the beachcats people! Hey F18 guys, any of you traveling south from pensacola are welcome to come for sat and sun. Fri is the distance race in the gulf, sat and sun are bouys in the bay.

Let me emphasize . THis is a Multihull ONLY event that will have at least three classes. It is being run by professional race management who is devoted to making this a first class multi only event that all the melges guys will want to do but wont be allowed too because they are just to damn SLOW. Last year was awesome, if we can keep the momentum up this year than soon we may have a large, first class, multi only regatta. Nowhere in the US do we have this. Lets make it so successful that the euros come over here (with the week dollar it would be vacation for those guys)..Keep making noise everyone, tell your friends. Our sport needs an event like this...

Charlie,

Lets see the trophies! Are you making them out of clay?

A shot at a handmade peice of sailing art from you would be reason enough to travel.

Bill

Here is some info , NOR, etc.. These are just the boats committed so far, there are always last minute people and I know that there will be beach cats coming (including my self)

And yes Bill I am making the trophies, they will be beautiful stoneware pitchers and I am firing them this week.
In addition I am making a perpetual trophy that will be awarded to the participant (including race committee and organisers/volunteers, who best represent the values which my uncle brought to the sport of sailing)
As for Merlin, Bob left her in his will to the YSP in sarasota. I believe she will be auctioned off to raise funds. I wish I had the cake, Merlin is truly one of the great Multis in existence.

Hello Multihuller,

Less than three weeks before the Buzzelli Regatta at the Sarasota Sailing Squadron, Florida!

Please find the NOR with entry form at: http://www.sarasotasailingsquad.com/
Please use the crew list at: http://www.sarasotasailingsquadron.com/crew.htm

In order to accommodate folks' budgets, we'll have a simpler meal at a lower cost than listed on the NOR.

See below for the to-date participant list.

So please, let me know what your plans are and if we can add you to our list.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Sincerely,
Nana Bosma, BMR Regatta Chair

Last year was the first year the Sarasota Sailing Squadron decided to organize a multihull event and it was chosen to expand the Stiletto Nationals to include all multihulls. We had 12 catamaran and 12 trimarans (11 Corsairs) on one start line, 5 races on Sarasota Bay on Saturday and Sunday. 9 Stilettos raced to Venice and back on Friday. It was a great event; results from last year: http://www.sarasotasailingsquad.com/2007MultihullResults.htm
We are planning a similar format this year and would like to get an idea who is planning to participate in this event.
