Ike's forecast position for Wednesday couldn't get any closer to my house.

If it stays above CAT 2, we're going mobile with the family on Monday

Anyone want to recommend a nice place to crash for 2-3 days in N. Flordia or Georgia? It's got to be wind/flood proof, and if they allow a cat, that would be even better...

I suspect my house will actually survive, but there's really nothing to be gained by sitting inside it (with no power) and listening to stuff crash into it at 125 knots... I don't think the kids would enjoy that, either...

How about thinking of coming east, that way you won't have to deal with everyone on 75, they say it's small in size.(Hopefully it stays that way)
I'll be at work in a hospital if it comes any where close to here.

What happened to the track record of Naples? Hurricanes are not supposed to hit it so often.

Apparently, President Bush forgot to turn off the weather machine after he destroyed New Orleans with Katrina....

The extremist groups are behind this, I know it.... <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I think I'll line up a Orlando hotel and a day pass to one of the theme parks there to keep the family busy...

We'll have a better idea tomorrow what the threat % will be for my neck of the woods. If it continues to slide westward, it might go clobber TX or the offshore oil platforms... again. $5 gas, here we come!

Frank, why are they moving the Shuttle out to the Pad, when there is a Hurricane (or two, or more) on it's way? <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Thanks.

In Titusville today, with the exception of rain--wind has been 15-15 knts, gusts to 30 knts. Pretty sure the shuttle can withstand that.

Terry, I was not worried about Hannah, but Ike and Joe and what ever the K will be.

Get a grip, man! You've lost your sense of values but it's not your fault.
