My crew, Aisling Clarke, well known over the years in the UK Spitfire fleet, has finished her studies and is now qualified and could end up anywhere in the world, so I decided that, as I'm getting old and grumpy, I'm better off on my own. By the way, the 2 Irish Spitfires that finished just in front of you at the Nationals were both mine at different times - so I'm certainly not anti Spitfire. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> It's a pity we didn't meet there.

mind you at 27 stone combined me and stand in crew Nick didnt take much beating in the light wind <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />
we should have pinched the F18 <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
I did see you Dermot,especially singing! but somehow didnt get the right chance to say hello.
hope you enjoy the Shadow, being on your own means you can shout and curse much more too1

That was one hell of a nationals... except for ripping the kite and getting caught on the comitee boat..

Dammed annoyin that Sproaty won it.

The new f18 looks pretty impressive though, hopefully they will bring it up to grafham with some good sailors on it and then we can see how quick it is.
