Nasty weather brought the Tornado World Championships to a close without the final day’s racing being contested, which leaves Darren Bundock and Glenn Ashby as the new champions. This is Glenn’s second title and his helmsman’s 6th Tornado World title.

I must admit that I have never seen so many sailors from countries like Botswana competing in that ultimate strict OD class called the 49-er skiff.

What a load of crock from the Tornado class !

The Tornado may not have sailors in Botswana but Hobie has http://hobieworlds.com/tiger2008/results/dragoon_competitors.html I think they have chosen the wrong country

Some new information up on the ITA site, now with estimates on boat costs: http://www.tornado.org/equipmentCost.asp

Also some other new stuff there which is interesting/telling. Wonder what the word about an eventual 11th medal is, and what the feelings are like..
I know the scandinavian MNAs to ISAF are working to get a multihull in for 2016.
