Rain won't do Tikipete, we have the same **** like Timbo has, road grime and lots of salt. That doesn't look nice on a boat you see every day sitting in the garage.

Rolf, it's just a question of beauty isn't it. What you like and what I like. I like mine white and shiny, like they're new. But do you have any hulls to clean anyway?
blush grin

Now we're talking Tim, that's what we do too (well Gill's mother helps alot ahum).
Do you wash your boat with water only?

If the boat is very dirty with road grime I use Tide clothes washing detergent, because it cuts grease very well.

If it's just a little dirty, I use Ivory dish washing liquid. When it's dry I polish it with that Teflon wax stuff, and yes, it makes it very slipery and hard to climb up on it after a crash or even when you are trying to trap and miss the non-skid part. I also spray every moving part (blocks, traveler, self tacker, etc.) with Team McLube teflon spray before racing.
