Yes, you do get shot at while driving in Miami, and I have the bullet hole in my passenger door to prove it. Thankfully, it was a small caliber (.22 or .25) and low on the door (lower half). Didn't penetrate the sheet metal, but got close. The other shot cost me a back window replacement (round shattered the glass, but the window tinting somehow stopped the lead - must have been a ricochet). I'm sure they were stray shots, but nonetheless...

Haha..that reminds me of a business trip I took in my RV (I used to do that a lot when I was in field service...I would stay in the customer's production facility lot and be on-call pretty much around the clock - customer's enjoyed it). Anyway, I made a wrong turn in Forest Park, GA (outside Atlanta) and figured I could find my way back with a short cut. The area kept getting worse and worse and worse and the streets narrower and narrower. Finally I gave up on my short cut and decided I should probably try to get back to civilization. I found an intersection and was in the midst of my 32 point turn when a kid comes running up the street at me and I roll down the window. He asks me if I am police. I say nope - just rolling through. He then asked me if I wanted to score. I said no thanks - just rolling through. At that time, my CB radio crackled to life with some trucker gibberish...the kids eyes got huge and he turned and ran to the group of people a block away screaming POLICE POLICE HE'S POLICE!!!! I laugh my butt off about it now but I wasn't terribly thrilled at the moment.
