I just got off the phone w/ Mark, he's away from his computer currently .... He stated what is needed at this point is for a couple of teams to register for the race .... and see if the registration is accepted. If the registration is refused then he can get busy "politicking" with the organizers and see what issues they are concerned about. At this point he has no indication that "Beach Cat" registrations will not be accepted.

So who wants to register first and test the waters????

The race is open to any boat with a PN rating. The beachcat class expects you to have sufficient sailing experience before you attempt the race. The class requirements are found here. Beach Cat Class Rules

The race is open to up to four man teams. No mandatory check points are required. This allows a team to man up and sail it with a team of two... or plan for the Chessie drifter and switch a team member out. The clock is running and will play a role in your tactics.
