Yep its at Boca Ciega bay, not the worlds in Islamorada.

And I thought it was Woody who broke his mast that year.

It's going to be hell for him to do his 360 after hitting the mark and not having a mast/sail.... I'd protest him wink

I don't think it would have snapped if it was a N20 mast. but yeah, it would have definitely been "Ca-ching", but those A cat dudes are rich anyway. Who else can afford all that tweeking?

a-cat mast (bare tube) is right around $3k. Not too bad.

So does that mean the alum mast isn't going to be forced upon us?!

Please God let it be so.

I heard that also, like $6500-7000 range, which puts it in the price range where the last one was ordered last summer, before all this crap started.

sounds certainly more reasonable if true. They do have about 10 lbs more carbon than an A mast, right?

West Marine's stock price should be soaring now. That mark didn't even dimple!

By the way...We've (catsailors) been getting some pretty good press on SA lately. The more the 'mainstream' is exposed to multi sailing, the better!

Good point. Even the crash and burn stuff draws interest (probably moreso than regular racing)

Any publicity is good publicity, right?
