Actually, and you guys will laugh, KY jelly is the best thing to use for loading bearings into (non-captive) traveler cars. It's thicker than liquid soap but still water soluble to wash away clean. If you're ever in my toolkit and see that tube of KY in there, fret not - it's for the bearings!

Well, that's his story and he's sticking to it. At least we know where not to drop our wallets...

Murphey,

The spinlocks wouldn't work for me, because the mast rotation cam cleats are on the hull. Also do we have a quick release system on the rotator arm, which makes switching from down to upwind and vica versa very easy.

I've checked and the cams are still ok (aluminium). Only the springs wore out, so the cleat doesn't close very well anymore. -> Apparently they don't sell seperate springs for my type of cam cleat..? Anyone who can confirm this?

A doctor went into his patients room and asked how everything was while she was in the hospital. She said everything was okay except this Kentucky Jelly just didnt taste too good.

get it? Kentucky jelly = KY jelly.....Get it?

It's been years, but like others here, I have replaced the 'spring' (a piece of curved SS metal) on a Harken cleat.

Have you tried the net for this?
