I especially like the "what makes a Nacra 20 great" thing. It's so new and refreshing. Glass from sand.
Seriously I see no gloom and doom for the 20. Obviously, this board is dominated by the hardcore 20 guys. Cat sailing is not dead either. There are youth programs like Miami Yach Club etc. It's just never going to be mainstream. Live with it and embrace the special thing you do on the weekends or when the wind's up. Those who love the feeling will come, even if they have chicken legs and a f'd up grill. | | | Re: What's in a 20?

Butt, what is the difference as far as pushing the boat in moderate weather? Is there a smaller window for the pitch factor? Is the 18 twitchyer on the edge? (is that a word?)

Cut the BS please. In Europe most of the cat sailing is on open water with conditions more rough then is typical in the North American area. Hell, I do 99% of my own sailing on open water (The North Sea) using a bloody F16. The F18 just does fine there and indeed the N20's is hard pressed to show superior performance. Wouter

I second the cut the BS call. Out of the 44 events left on this year calendar of events for F18 in France only 2 are on a lake.
