Before you shell out the dough for small sails, the World Council passed last weekend a new corrector weight category that allows crews under 309 pounds to compete using the large sail plan. Details will be posted soon, but it looks like there is a new and additional option for teams that have second-hand boats and cannot make the cost of a new or additional set of sails for the lighter weight category. This new category passed 60 to 38 votes, with the US and NED (among others) voting against.
