As far a the trapeezing of the rudder goes, your back foot is located on the rudder close to the pivot point. dose not realy effect steering but your feet are quite close together... hense why you use the panic strap and use a sheet to help steady yourself. If you have a kite sheet, hold the lazy sheet (windward side) with your front hand and the other one with your rear. This realy helps your balance. This method in the big stuff will blow away any other boat that dose not do it.
