I know there's a motorhome park close to the venue, but we really don't need the amenities offered and might as well get a hotel room for the price. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Agreed - to burn an ounce of concern about the wind forecast this far away is pointless. The 24 hour forecast is usually only about 75% correct...it's probably less than 5% correct a week out.
