Posts: 19 Chesapeake va | I've had a i20 for 13 years never had a problem releasing the main, now that I am using another main I can't get it to release in the normal way, pulling the halyard and over rotating the mast. Any ideas. Thanks

Posts: 5,590 Naples, FL | is it just re-hooking each time you try to pull the main down?
Any trouble getting the main up (like the bolt rope is snug) and hooked?
there might be a magic way to tie the knot on the halyard ring. Or the headboard might be twisted a bit...

Posts: 833 St. Louis, MO, | Common problem. The tops of the mains are often made just a bit different with the bolt rope closer or farther from the Grommot. I use to tie a bowlon at the top. When I got my new main I had to run the line through the ring and put a stopper knot in the back to that it pulls the ring off the hook.
Good Luck.
