Presents the 2015 Portland Regatta at the Portland Yacht Club – 21st February to 22nd February 2015
NOTICE OF RACE
1. Rules
The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing 2013-3016, the sailing instructions, and by the class rules of those yachts competing.
2. Eligibility and Entry
The regatta is open to all off the beach boats, trailable yachts and keelboats All crew members shall hold a current YA Gold/Silver Card.
Eligible yachts may enter on the attached entry form either by post or at the registration desk on the first day of competition.
3. Fees
Seniors $55 whole Regatta
or $15 Per Race
Juniors $25 whole Regatta
or $5 Per Race
4. Schedule of Events
Registration: Saturday 21st February 0900-1000hrs
Information Session: Saturday 21st February 1000hrs
Race Warning Signal
1 1100hrs – 21st February
2 1430hrs – 21st February
3 Back to back with race 2
4 1000hrs – 22nd February
5 Back to back with race 4
Presentation A.S.A.P after last race
No race will be started after 1400 hrs on 22nd February.

5. Sailing Instructions
Sailing instructions will be available from the registration desk at the prescribed registration times.
6. Venue
Racing will be conducted in the confines of Portland Bay
7. Courses
Courses will vary to suit the prevailing conditions and shipping movements of the Port Of Portland and will be displayed on the Official Notice Board.
8. Radio Communication
Except in an emergency, a boat shall neither make radio transmissions while racing, nor receive radio communications not available to all boats. This restriction also applies to mobile telephones
9. Prizes
Handicap prizes will be awarded at the discretion of the Portland Yacht Club
10. Disclaimer Of Liability
Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4, Decision to race. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
11. Insurance
Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party insurance with a minimum cover of $5 million per incident or the equivalent
