The press release said "pulling back" from sailing record breaking...not necessarily 'retiring'. That is, unless I missed something. Who else are we going to find from the U.S. to go spank the Frenchies on the water?

Change that..."Speed sailing career comes to an end" sure sounds like retiring doesn't it?
