Now I know why you guys still work for Hobie Cat...its Brain Damage from the 80's. Built 84000 chick magnet Hobie 16s by then, and 12000 Hobie 18s, and....
To paraphrase General MacArthur, Hobie Alter must once have intoned.. "I will return..."

I'm not sure that the guy leaning against the van is Matt. Then again, it's almost twenty years ago.

It has been a long 20 years...

That was back when I was working for the dealer in San Diego. They didn't pay you to take those trips, didn't have to! As I recall we had an 18 Magnum, 2 16's, 2 17's, 2 Holder 12's and a bunch of Alpha Sailboards. They had some factory guys that rigged the boats. All we had to do was have fun. Matt (Bounds), look at the shot in there that Hobie used for years in ads. Me and one of the girls hiking out on the yellow 18 Magnum. Yeah, that WAS me back then.

I saw that photo (Matt & the model on the 18M), but I figured I'd wasted enough time with the scanner. I'm not getting any work done on the HCA News while I'm doing this.

(but I did find some other goodies that I'm saving for later )

Steve, if you're really into it, the Hobie dealer by me has a set of the van graphics for sale.

Thanks, Matt, if I still had my motor home it would be cool to put Hobie graphics on there, but I sold it early in the winter. I'll pass the word around the fleet.
