Most of the Tornado's have gone back to seperate tack and halyard lines. Speed is the major reason.
The mid pole snuffer lets you cheat the spinaker out of the bag with a seperate tack on the way to the offset mark. The tack line exits the pole about 3 feet forward of the cross beam goes around a cheek block mounted on the underside of the front beam at the dolphin stricker .. Through a spinlock cleat mounted underside the front beam, then through a turning block which routes the tack line onto the tramp running down the starbord lacings.
The single purchase halyard has much reduced friction. This is important if you have a boat on your hip at the offset mark ... He who gets the chute up first wins!
