I just got a quote of $300 per boat for new sail letters and numbers. I was wondering if anyone knows what materials I can use to make my own letters and where I can get them? I'm not interested in the numbers available in the Hobie catalogue - I need letters.

thanks,

Han,
Sailrite sells adhesive backed insignia material for that purpose. Their website is http://www.sailrite.com . The direct link to the material is: http://tinyurl.com/d4yty .
Maybe other companies sell a similar material.

300 is way too steep. find someone who has a vinyl cutter/ sign cutter. those decals will stick to anything, awnings, plywood, etc. you can buy your own cutter and hook it up to a pc for under 1000 cdn, the vinyl comes in rolls, lots of different colors, also luminescent type vinyl for backlit awnings.

I can do decals, I use the premium eight year outdoor use vinyl. If you want it for a hobie 16, give me the size and the sail number and I can give you a quote.

If you need any other information contact me via email
