bear with me this is the first time im trying this ,, i am just about to purchase a warrior 29 built in the 1980s , has been refitted +- a year back and appears to be in fair shape, has a few extra bits and pieces ie two solar panels ,auto helm,st2000+ 9.9 yamaha 4 stroke outboard and some other stuff, how much do you think i should pay? and are there any other warriors for sale? also cant seem to find much info about them, i think they were an early conser 29. well ill wait and see if i get a response before i gabble on, thanks Ray.

It is my understanding that approximately 17 Warriors were built and that approimately 16 remain. I hear that the owners are a relatively tightly knit group. If that is true, I would imagine that you should be able to find a place on the internet where this groups of owners shares information relative to their boats.

Best of luck in your pursuit. Looks like a nice boat.

Did you buy the boat? It is an earlier Conser 29. The Warrior and Conser were designed by Vince Bartolone of C/S/K fame.

Now this is an interesting thread to have run across. Attached is a photo of what I thought was a Warrior 29. A double check on the Conser website refers to the boat I am showing as a Conser 29 (C29).

The photo of the yellow boat attached by Beaudebo clearly shows a different boat model- although related.

So which boat is the Warrior 29 (of which 17 were made), and which boat is the Conser 29? My confusion arises from people using the names interchangeably.

hi as you can see i posted the info ages ago, so its taken a bit of head scratching to get going again, anyway i did not unfortunately manage to buy the warrior as the seller was a bit "temper"mental and he sold to someone else,so i am still looking, as far as i can tell the boat was built from a mold in the florida keys, by a boat builder who built three, the picture was sent on to john conser for confermation and his wife very kindly replyd that it was a warrior, and that there were only +_ 20 built so i still watch the ebay catamaran section hopefully, !!!!!! any ideas?

Have you looked at a Stiletto? There's a lot of the around, parts are pretty easy to get and they have a good class association for racing.

He's right, the Stilettos are easier to get. Even though they are not made anymore there were about 375 Stiletto 27's made along with the S-23 and S-30. There is one for sale here in the classifieds and you can also look at http://stiletto.wildjibe.com and chek the "For Sale" section. Lots of support and good information too!

Good luck,

MMMMMMMMMMM , well thanks guys, ive looked at a couple of stilettos down here in key west and after speaking to a guy who charters out two of them im not sure that i would like to venture out to the near Bahamas in what is a coastal cruiser?? this is the type of sailing i have in mind, you know, the lure of shallow water crusing in peace no hectic scramble to get the best anchorage at sunset etc, so shallow draft,+_1ft, light, easy to push off the beachlarge trampolenes, and fairly comfortable space in hulls in really bad weather, thats why ive been waiting patiently <2years now> for another warrior or conser29 to come available, the two boats just dont compare when you come down to it,so will wait some more, heh!heh!

I wouldn't rule the Stilettos out completely. Sounds like a Stiletto 30 might work for you. One was recently listed for sale here:
http://stiletto.wildjibe.com/forsale

Here're some reviews of the Stiletto 30

The Stiletto 30 is both longer (3' longer) and wider (4' wider) than the Stiletto 27. Sounds like a nice performance cruiser to me.

hi again thanks for the interest, well i have been watching the various adds etc ,windjibe included, and its a small world sometimes. the 30 stilleto advertised" echo "belonged to a local charter company and was stored at a boatyard here in key west and i approached the owner to see if the boat was for sale , short anser no!!! then" wilma" and she along with all the other boats tried to swop spots! echo came off second best and ended up with lots of holes, one very large one in the keel of the starboard hull, after a brief discussion with the uninfomed auctioneer who was selling her on behalf of the insurance co, and a good look at the dammage and the hull construction, which one could clearly see with large hole etc i backed off and left it to someone else, wonder why she is back on the market so soon??????? anyway my list of priority would be 1,warrior 29. 2,macgregor36, 3,stilleto 30. soooooo if anyone hears of a not tooo expensive one here in florida or not too far away, i would appreciate any info thanks Ray

please excuse the delay, i have only recently managed to aquire the yellow cat and acording to the original owner it is a warrior 29ft 6inch, multihull, built here in the keys, the builder was named haggs or hogs, not sure, he apparently built three using the molds he aquired from a closed down boat manufacturer in florida, cant vouch for this info as i havent been able to contact the builder ,i did send a picture to john conser, and his wife confirmed that it was a warrior.if you know of any other warriors around i would really like to get in touch with them ,so i can learn more about the boat and maybe network to make some needed updates as some of the gear is quite dated, thanks Ray.

hi there is an attachment on the first entry and not much has changed since i aquired the boat a little over a month back, im going to change the colour and do some below the waterline work as soon as it cools down, so ill add a few more pics as i go along , also thinking of replacing the rear and side trampolines with a fibreglass deck to give a more solid footing, only dont want to compromise the light weight aspect of the current setup,so if theres anything in particular you would like me to make a pic of ill oblige .

She looks good. I'd love to see more pics as she gets cleaned up.

So when were the Warrior and Conser 29 produced? What's the difference between the two? Any idea what the weight is? Can they be easily broken down for trailering? How do they differ from the Mac 36, S27, and S30?

I only saw this boat once while on a visit to the Bay Area.
I never spoke to its owner but my friend Joe know him and
told me he had owned the boat for thirty years! Joe also
told me the Warrior 29 was designed with the S.F. Bay in
mind. Maybe Joe can help you further. You find him and his
email address here: http://www.katiekat.net/
And you better hurry up because he is planning on going
cruising again.

You should have a look at Item number: 290025318011 from Ebay :

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Coastal-C...spagenameZWDVW

It is a 35' open deck catamaran and I am itching to make an offer myself

I've looked at that myself. If I didn't already have a Stiletto 27 I would look harder. Dosen't look like a bad deal at $41K. A friend just purchased an Edel 35 @ around $80K. The Edel has more room in the hulls though and an open deck like the Stiletto and is still fast.

Hello, catsailors!

Maybe the 17'th missing Warrior is that cat in Estonia, Haapsalu??? Some finnish guy owned that beauty but sails rarely. Last summer 2-3 times, 2003-2005 was not at all in water. 2000-2002 was in renovation. Warrior cat in Haapsalu 2006. We have some interest race that cat next summer Estonian offshore championship, when they made multihull group. We give a go, wait and see <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Hallå, Martin

Maybe 2007, when our Muhu Väin(our offshore championship) celebrates 50.th jubilee, they made group for multihulls. It's possible, because have sailors interest. But same time, 50.Muhu Väin happen 14.07 – 21.07.2007 on Riia Bay, happen IMM2007. 19th. – 22nd. of July 2007 in Fredrikstad, Norway. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> So, let's see, how many multihulls we put together.

I would be very careful about adding anymore weight aft, namely replacing the aft tramp with a solid deck. The Warriors and Conser 29's sit fairly low on their transoms, as is. This was not intended in the design. Also, because of the high freeboard forward and the squatting transoms, the boats tended to have trouble beating in a choppy sea if the crew also was positioned aft. The key is to keep the weight forward on these boats.

I don't know anything about these boats, this is the first I've seen, do you know how it compares to the Stiletto 27 or 30? Which is heavier, which has more sail area, does it have a rotating mast, spinnaker kit, etc.? Any bunks down below for overnights? Thanks.

I missed buying a warrior about 10 years ago. The white boat is a warrior. The one I was looking at had a teak splash guard as the **** coaming (painted white on sailing photo) and there was definitely a foot well. The mid (rear) deck was hard and the forward ones were polypropylene mesh. I was too late to buy the boat. I eventually bought a stiletto project which I finished to about 7/8 complete and then sold it for a profit to buy a macgregor 36. The Hulls on the stiletto were beamier than the warrior. From comments by owners, the stiletto was faster in light airs but the warrior took over as it breezed up. The stiletto was feather light and was probably not a good choice for me as I wanted a Chesapeake Bay cruiser. The macgregor is built like a truck compared to these other too. Absolutely no flex or quiver in any kind of a sea.

I have a Conser 1977 Warrior Catamaran that has been modified with composite deck, forward storage area, extended reverse transoms, forespar for a screecher. Even with the added weight, it's still a fast boat. This is one of the 17 that Conser made and was sailed from California to Panama and subsequently to Tampa, Florida. See photos at http://conserwarriorcatamaran.blogspot.com

Hello,

Are you aware of any Warrior Catamarrans for sale? I would be very interested in acquiring one.

Thanks,
Dawn Fulton

Hello,

I'm not too savvy with this Blog thing yet, but it looked to me like you found a Warrior catamarran. If you did, do you still own it? My husband and I are trying to connect with any of the Warrior owners as he grew-up sailing one with his father. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

I am wondering if anyone knows how to connect with any of the current Warrior Owners. If you do, I would greatly appreciate it if you would let me know how to contact them as well. My husband grew up sailing on a Warrior with his father. He is now looking for one for himself.
