Ok I would like to know if sail costs would be lower if purchased directly from the sail maker or through a dealer.

The following amounts are from the Sail One-Design webb site. I believe they are a dealer near Miami, Fl. All sails are

for the Inter18.

Jib $428, F18 Main $1354, Spinnaker $1026. TOT. $2808

Ok Bob, Randy, Skip and any other sail makers, can you do

better than this for same or better quality sails. Maybe you guys could give us a quote right here for a set of F18 (EU)

sails. Sails that could be used on Hobie 18 or maybe a Nacra 5.5.

Try Zuccolli of Italy, Performance Sails of Holland, or Landenberger of Germany. I think that the sails will be much more reasonably priced than you were quoted in Miami. Tornado jibs run about 450USD and spi about 800USD and F-18 sails should be a little cheaper.

In my previous post, I did not mean to exclude some of our fine US Sailmakers, as you had already mentioned some. Some US Sailmakers to try:

Smyth Team

Sabre Sails

Ulman (Huntington Beach-Jay Glasser)

Skip Elliott

Calvert Sails

If the math is right

Main $1161

jib $ 369

spinn $ 686

Total $ 2,216

Thats $592 less than the Inter sails.

Anybody have an idea on shipping costs ? I would say

anywhere in the US to anywhere in the US $60 to $90.

Need Europe to USA>
