Posts: 3,293 Long Beach, California | If the 450s come, since it is my last year and I'll do what I want 'cause I'm keepin' it real like that, then I want it to look like a freakin' clown car - we'll require all 20 teams to be on the water for every race on the 10 boats. The only rotation I would have to worry about is which teams to match up. Then teams could decide if they wanted to work together to wallow faster than everyone else, or have a leatherman duel for ultimate supremacy.
It could happen...

After watching Lionel Messi play, I realize I need to sail harder.

There you go again...giving away all my evil genius plans! Dan, What kind of method are they using for the attachment of the trampoline? Please tell me it has laced sides like the current boat! While I probably can get used to it, I can't stand a spongy trampoline.

Posts: 12,310 South Carolina | Mike Krantz let me sail his A2 several weeks ago and it was quite an incredible experience...however, I didn't like the trampoline - I keep feeling like I'm sinking and trying to trodge through mush to get to the other side. Same thing when sailing on a Tiger - it just doesn't feel solid to me to have no connection between the trampoline and the hull.

Posts: 98 | Gary, Emailed Performance Cat & Nacra Europe Development of the Nacra F 18 Infusion
All the current top Formula 18 Catamarans were test platforms for the development of the new boat, including all aspects from hull shape, sail plans , mast designs , board and rudder location and designs to help insure no feature was left uncheck . the new boat utilized the best aspect of all hulls shapes, mast etc. to come up with a the best overall design . Without naming brands – if they were at all good they where scrutinized , sailed against and measured .Most every design has at least one or two good aspects – the final design result for Nacra was to have them all in one platform -
follow that up with a call. Ted | | | Re: Nacra F18

Posts: 3,293 Long Beach, California | Does anyone know if the Infusion has raced yet? Ted Hull number one was raced last weekend in the SoCal Championship by Pete Melvin and Jacques Bernier against six or eight other F-18s - no surprise, this particularly sharp team won the event.

Posts: 9,582 North-West Europe | That crew member is actually a fellow club member of mine and living across the street from me. I shall walk over to him this weekend and ask him what he thought of it. The other standing next to the boat on the beach is another club member of mine; living 5 km down the street from me. Both these persons have a Infusion on order for many months now. But that is not all. A 3rd clubmember has one on other as well and I've heard (but have not been able to confirm) the rumour of a 4th clubmember having ordered one as well. They all sold 2 nacra F18's and 2 I-20's for it. I'm sure I'll see alot of that nacra Infusion this coming (club) race season. If anybody is looking for the infusions at the 2006 Alter cup then you'll know where to find them ! At my club, WVZ Zandvoort, the Netherlands. Why not do the Alter Cup event overhere ? (Joke !)
