Does any one have or use either one of these? I am looking to purchase a GPS soon and would like feedback on either of these or the pros and cons of what you use. What I thought was good about these two besides the mem. of the map gps is that they both float. Has any one put this to the test?

Thanks

While the 76 mapping version looks good and has a bigger screen and tide data, I still opted for the comparably priced eTrex Vista - the addition of an electronic compass makes it much more applicable to catamaran racing IMO. It even has a nice perpendicular to course (tacking!) right on the screen, which has helped me notice slight but persistent lifts or headers.

The Vista has a smaller screen, but more memory and an altimeter that's useful in my life off the water. In either case, get the Mapsource software - it's invaluable.

Have fun - I love techie toys!
