But I must also add that it personally gives me a lot of enjoyment to underdog the F18's while sailing a F16. And the F18 sailors at my club know that. Keeps them sharp and it keeps myself sharp.

Sounds like "little brother" always trying to prove he is better than "bigger brother" to me.<img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />

If "big brother" can be beaten maybe he is not so big.
I'd rather beat an 18 on a 16 that the other way round.

So we all agree on one thing anyway, winning feels good.
And what we are really doing is hunting.
I love chasing down boats and the best feeling I have is as I catch up and can see the other skip is looking too often at me and must be worried and I KNOW I am going to make the kill.

Tornados in sub-trapeze conditions are out of their habitat and not too difficult prey (unless the crew are olympic class)

Don't worry Rolf, what I am trying to say is as with the f16 guys, we love lining up against faster boats and knocking them off. If we do it, it is because we sailed a better race than them. Not that the F18 is quicker than a T.
