My tiller extension, the longest std Ronstan available I think, is just a tad too short. Last Saturday while trapping forward on the work, I had three problems with it coming in off the wire.
On one occasion the sheet went the wrong side of it [don't ask me how] causing plenty of drama putting it right.
Next it knocked my hat off and during another tack it got through the loop securing my sunnies and sent them to DJ's locker with my hat. I think I need to lengthen it although it is currently a very good length for steering.

Might be time for a length of CF tube.

AHPC (Capricorn Tiller Extension)
Details ????

Goodall sells their composite tiller extensions for $104.

Our Capricorns are wider and longer than your 430 so they should be more than adequit. I was looking at getting a spare tiller extension and checked out all options. The AHPC extension was the best option.

I use the RF3124 mainly on Dart 16s. I think that it is a bit lightweight for larger cats. It is easily bent and then won't telescope. Also can't be adjusted from the wire, because of the flexible connection.

I like the AHPC tiller on my boat (2.5 mtr wide) as well. These are good tiller and take alot of abuse when falling of the boat.
