Hey Team and Future Team Members,

Doc and I are heading to Long Beach, California, February 16-18 for the Bob Marley (Doc has all his albums), Day Reggae Festival at the Long Beach Convention Center.Since the SCYA Midwinters are that same weekend, we'll be hitching the F16's to Doc's Dino as well...Course we'll probably be throwing Paul Alani into the mix if he's not already sailing with someone cooler than Doc or I (darn near impossible) and promises not to try too hard on the racecourse (darn near impossible)...Hopefully we can get Dudash's Blade out as well as he's a regular on the O.C. coastline...

If you're in the area and would like to try an F16 - we'll be at the Alamitos Bay Yacht Club on Friday (02 /16)morning
for some three boat tuning; USA 300 will be available to persons interested in a sail. We'll be on the beach beside the Y.C. during the regatta and would be psyched to meet you and let you give it a whirl after racing as well ...

Paul--I'm hoping to stay with you guys (back of our cars?) on Friday night but then the wife and boys will be down with the camp trailer for Sat and Sun night. We're going to hit Disneyland on Monday (along with the rest of the world, probably). There aren't many options for our camp trailer near ABYC. I'm thinking we might have to go down the coast a bit, maybe toward Huntington Beach for a good camp spot.

Eric and Paul:
I'll be entering the ABYC Midwinter Regatta again this year but for the first time on an F16 Blade. Looking forward to seeing you both. Here's hoping the weather is not like 2005 when the weather was not SoCal perfect.

Hey John, We're counting on you to come through with the weather--75 degrees (air and water), 12-16 knots, no powerboats. And we're holding you responsible if it doesn't happen <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Oh, and what color is your spinnaker?

Water was 57 to 60 degrees F last Sat and air temp was about 65, but the wind was producing whitecaps at 2 P.M.

My spinnaker is blue to compliment my mainsail (race dacron)and tramp.
