I have been working to make setup of my cat quicker, so I can spend more time sailing or helping others. I’ve got it down so I have quicker setup time with the spinnaker than my previous non spinnaker setup.
One thing that still seems to take time is getting the boat off the trailer on to the wheels and then back on the trailer (we store mast up). As I need to replace my rollers, I am thinking about keeping it off the trailer on 4 movable saw horse supports that allow me to slip the beach wheels right under the boat. Maybe make them out of painted 2x4s, plywood, and a rubberized door mat? Then strap the boat to the ground with anchors.
Anyone ever done anything like this before? Any Thoughts?
