Was a strange weather pattern yesterday. I checked with a kite surfer yesterday late afternoon. It was on and off at zandvoort (80 km from Texel) so I feel that may initial guess at the Texel conditions may well be off. Anyway the graphs shown are correct but for locations about 80 km off Texel and it is well possible that that allows a different wind and winddirection at Texel.

We'll just have to wait for the reports and the sailors to say what the conditions really were. But on thing is certain. the conditions were significantly lighter then average Round Texel conditions. That much can be seen from the video and the racing time.
