I have a Prindle 18 that I installed roller furling on. Since I always trailer my boat, I didn't really have a need for a halyard to raise my jib. I just raise the mast with the jib attached as the forestay. I tied a custom length forestay (a few inches longer than the jib) into the jib luff. I also had an upper pigtail made that incorporates a seven hole adjuster. This system works great for me. It's very clean and simple.
