I broke my dolphin Striker this past weekend sailing down in Rocky Point, Mexico. I tried to remove it but two of the bolts to the main beam seem to have a nut on the inside of the beam. as far as I can tell, I would have to remove the main beam end cap, and have a 2' long 7/16 wrench to remove the DS, and then do the same in reverse to put it back together. I guess my 10 year old wiuld have skinny enough arms to get in there and hold the wrench. before I tear into it I would like to hear from anyone with insight. Thanks.
By the way, Rocky point was great. 6'+ swells and 15 to 20 mph winds steady. No wonder I broke the boat. I gave a few virgins the ride of there life nearly flying 2 hulls off the crest of the waves and then burying the lee hull at the bottoms. By late afternoon each day the winds mellowed and we were visited on several occasions by dolphins while taking an easy cruise up and down the coast.
The old girl is out of comission until I get the DS replaced, any comments would be appreciated.
