I guess that what i'll have to do is take the end cap off and see what's inside and go from there.
As far as where i'm going to get a new one, i think i'll have to make my own. I just dont know how to attach the current post to the center of the new DS. Mine looks like it's pressed on or something. I guess there's a chance that it's threaded on the bottom end, that would be fairley easy.
maby tomorrow i'll take it all apart. I've never had to remove the end caps from the main beam, anyone know whats involved? Is it just the rivets, or the mounting bolts to the hull also?
