If you do not mind, weight your items,...especially your daggarboards...
I follow the T 4.9 UNI site and study the tips that are there,.....I know that the particulars are T 4.9 specific but the priciples can be general to Uni rig catamarans,....
....for example,...certian Aussie Uni-sailors rig their mainsheet systems 'upside-down'...this season I am turning my mainsheet system ' upside down',...cleat at the top,......from a physics point of view,.....it SHOULD work better for your initial thrust is on the item ( the boom) you want to move,...
...and the initial relase is on the same item ( the boom),...
....face it,..that crossbar is never going to move,...well,..hopefully (..if it does,.then you are in real trouble..)
