It must be noted that Hollywood Goes Tiger is a retrofitted skiff moth and came 6th at the last nationals. I can recall that 8th place overall was sometimes lapped on its second lap by Rohan and the 2nd and 3rd placed boats in a 3 lap, 20-25min race.

The moths have a problem with speed differences throughout the fleet. At the last nationals, 1st-3rd would complete 3 laps while last place would sometimes not even complete 1 lap! They do finishes similar to car races, everyone crosses the finish line every lap and you are finished the next time you cross after the race is won.

This is to illustrate that there is a huge performance difference between the top foiler moth sailors and the rest. Handicaps are fairly useless for a class going through such major change, as are claims of being faster than any other class...
