- accelerate and brake slower than usual
- practice backing the trailer a few times in a large open space
- every now and then first towing pull over and check all your hold down straps etc
- turn a little wider than normal but be careful about indicating 1 way and then swinging the other way or following cars may hit you
- don't get ****!
- check your trailer tyre pressures
