I've been to Sarasota to race several times, the one problem that seems to occur is finding a launching area for beach cats, on the bay side, and all the ocean side is condo's and hotels, no access for launching there.

I've launched out of the Sarasota Sailing Squadron for their Midwinter regattas, but they would only run two races a day for the beach cats, on some very long courses, when we should have been sailing with their 470's.

If you can get the race comittee to run say, 4-5 races a day, shorter courses, etc. that would probably bring in the beach cats.

Have you found a good place to launch on the gulf side?
