The last time I waited on the swinging ICW bridge at Sargent Beach(end of TX Hwy 457) back in Jan. 07, I saw a bait & beer camp/seafood restaurant on the side of the road by the bridge, and that's probably less than 1/4 mi. from the beach.

You might be able to make it to Port O'Connor the 1st day and get food, rations, etc. there too.

Like others have said, it'd be pretty tough on a P16, I think. They won't let Prindles in the GT300 - for a good reason probably.
