Do you have to be sure to add plasticizer to the automotive paint like they do for painting plastic bumpers? I want to hear more details if possible...type of paint, etc...
I had a brief chat with one of the Dutch sailors (TonyF18 from this site) on the beach today. Automotive bumper paint is used. I don't know what kind of priming or sail prep is necessary. Apparently the durability is good - 2 year old sails are holding up. I'll try and get the lowdown on the application technique and materials tomorrow.
There are 3 boats here with painted sails - and all look very cool.
