Do you always tighten the mast rotation?
I also did, but a day I came at the beach and the mast was quite shaking because of the fact the rotation was on. Now I always release it and the mast just parrallels with the wind...

I guess both have their downsides...

Welcome and enjoy sailing! I would ask APHC directly where to put the blocks or check the year of building and ask some of the Taipan sailors on the forum.
The placement is very important so inform enough.
