Re: sailing over the Spi sheets; I put by foot on the sheet as I drop and so it cannot go forward; some I think just go for it and manage not to sail over it. I've been told that some rig up a line from the halyard to the clew to stop it happening, but I've not worked out how they do it yet.

I don't think I'll be at Datchet, no job and training to be a Ski instructor has to take priority; this may allow me to travel next summer!
