The only reason I can think of to build F16 from these molds would be to save money. How much money are you really going to save? How much do blade or taipan plans cost? The fibreglass, epoxy, hardware, spars, ropes and sails all cost the same amount with a new design and an old one.
I'm not actually advocating doing this, for me its just an interesting thought process, But the saving is on the time/labour. With a set of moulds its not unreasonable to suggest that you could build the entire boat in two weekends. I work for myself in a charge out industry, so I value my time very highly. If you're on a salary your priorities might vary.
With a new rig and foils this boat would be within 2% of the existing F16 designs. Anyone who argues differently probably has an alternate product to sell.
