Many years ago I acquired a pair of 'reject' Tornado hulls from Reg White. They were structurally sound but cosmetically bad and also had some ripples. We didn't care what they looked like though and 4 of us built them into a complete boat in a weekend!
The only pre-fitted out component was the mast as this was secondhand everytrhing else was brand new. My brother-in-law sailed it reasonably successfully at club level for a couple of years before selling it on.
The point is, if you're organised and know what you're doing, once you've got all the components together building a boat in 2 weeks is easily doable.
